School run: child locks, kid playlist and a calm drive

Start navigation to your saved “School” place and the car locks the rear doors, puts on the kids’ playlist and switches to Chill.

Why it’s useful

Bundles three things you would otherwise set by hand every morning into the moment you pick the destination.

How to set it up

1. Open AutomationsWith the car in Park, open the App Launcher on the touchscreen and tap Automations.
2. Create a new automationTap “Create an automation”.
3. Set the trigger: Navigation DestinationUnder Trigger, open Navigation and pick Navigation Destination. Set it to: Destination is your saved “School” place.
4. Action 1: Door Child LockTap Add action, open Doors & Windows, pick Door Child Lock and set: On.
5. Action 2: Window LockTap Add action, open Doors & Windows, pick Window Lock and set: On.
6. Action 3: Play PlaylistTap Add action, open Media, pick Play Playlist and set: Your kids’ playlist.
7. Action 4: Acceleration ModeTap Add action, open Drive, pick Acceleration Mode and set: Chill.
8. Name and saveName it “School Run”, save, and make sure its card is switched on.
9. Test itTrigger it once while parked with the screen on, and check each action happened.

Menu names come from the English strings found in current firmware and may change slightly at launch. There is no way to import automations, so you build each one on the touchscreen. Full walkthrough

Tips

• Save the school as a favorite first so it shows up in the destination picker.
