Questions
What is the Tesla Automations release date?
There is no official date. The feature is live in China and finished in English firmware. The December 2026 holiday update is the most widely expected release for the US, Canada and Europe, but Tesla has not confirmed it.
Is Tesla Automations available in the US?
Not as of 2026-10-31. It exists in the firmware but is switched off for cars outside China.
Will it come to Europe at the same time?
Reports point to North America and Europe together, but European rollouts sometimes trail because of local approvals. Voice-trigger behavior may also differ by region because the in-car assistant differs.
How will I know when I have it?
Check the release notes after each update (Controls → Software → Release Notes), and look for Automations in the App Launcher. We update this page the day it ships.
Do I need Premium Connectivity or FSD?
Nothing published so far says so. Automations cannot control FSD and do not run while Autopilot or FSD is active.
