Morning commute on autopilot (the routine kind)

Get in at home in the morning and navigation to work plus your news or podcast playlist starts.

Why it’s useful

The first two things you do every weekday morning, done before you buckle up.

How to set it up

1. Open AutomationsWith the car in Park, open the App Launcher on the touchscreen and tap Automations.
2. Create a new automationTap “Create an automation”.
3. Set the trigger: Seat OccupiedUnder Trigger, open Seats and pick Seat Occupied. Set it to: Driver seat — occupied.
4. Add condition: TimeTap Add condition, open Time, pick Time and set: Between 6:30 and 9:00 a.m..
5. Add condition: Home or WorkTap Add condition, open Location, pick Home or Work and set: Car is at Home.
6. Action 1: Navigate Home or WorkTap Add action, open Navigation, pick Navigate Home or Work and set: Work.
7. Action 2: Play PlaylistTap Add action, open Media, pick Play Playlist and set: Your morning playlist.
8. Name and saveName it “Morning Commute”, save, and make sure its card is switched on.
9. Test itTrigger it once while parked with the screen on, and check each action happened.

Menu names come from the English strings found in current firmware and may change slightly at launch. There is no way to import automations, so you build each one on the touchscreen. Full walkthrough
